~Hidy Ho Pogo Survivors~ Hard to believe, but summer is almost over and the little tikes are back to school. Many you thought that would never end. Time to clean up our house, get our priorities back in order and get a game schedule we all want and party again. We have a link on the leagues main page with all of the hosts yahoo addys. Please add them all to your so you can receive IM you for tournaments. Sometimes we will set up a tournament last minute, and yahoo is your quickest way to find out. Speaking of hosting, if you feel like joining in on the fun and can host 4 tours a week, please put in your application today. We have several "Specials" set for the month of September. Mark your Calendar Special Tournaments for September Sunday, Sept. 6th, Flag Tourney Whose state flag is going to proudly fly on the home page? Saturday, Sept. 12th Tournament of Champions Any Survivor who won a tournament during the month of August will be automatically registered for this tourney. Wednesday, Sept. 16th Birthday Tour Come help the September birthday babies celebrate their big day! Saturday, Sept. 19th. Wisdom vs. Youth Who will reign this month, the older, wiser folks or the upstart youngsters? Saturday, Sept. 26th Host vs. Player Come out and help your team. Lots of fun for both sides. Here is the current lineup: Monday nights at 8:30 join rcktldy5 for a Tag Team Tour. You get assigned a random partner and the two of you compete as a tag team in a game such as Jungle Gin. Tuesday nights Love hosts Canasta at 8pm Wednesday nights at 8pm come and play Dominoes and then join ACC at 9pm for Break the Bank in Hog Heaven Slots! Thursday nights JD hosts Spades at 9pm Friday nights Join Pepper in Jungle Gin for Friday Night Trivia at 9pm and test your knowledge on a different topic each week! He will try to hold tours every night at MIDNIGHT and beyond that if anyone is still awake and wants to PLAY. He would like EV1 to have FUN FUN FUN. Some nights may start at 11pm. RECIPE CORNER rcktldy5 asked me to share a recipe with all of you (and it sounds yummy enough to convince even the most diehard sleeper to crawl out of bed to enjoy... ~Cinnamon Morning Delight~ 1 cup margarine, softened 2-3/4 cups sugar (divided) 2 tsp. vanilla extract 4 medium eggs 3 cups all purpose flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 2 cups (16 oz.) sour cream 2 Tbsp. ground cinnamon 1 half cup chopped walnuts In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and 2 cups of the sugar together until fluffy. Add vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Add alternately with sour cream, beating just enough after each addition to keep batter smooth. Spoon one third of batter into a greased 10 inch tube pan. Combine cinnamon, nuts and remaining sugar. Sprinkle one third over batter in pan. Repeat layers two more times. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 to 70 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool for 10 minutes. Remove from pan to cool completely.
